Continue to Pray for Rachel Herman '10

Please keep Rachel Herman '10 in your prayers.  Rachel is a student at Ohio State and became ill this spring with severe weakness in her right side.  After meeting with doctors and initial testing Rachel was diagnosed with possible multiple sclerosis (high probability). Her parents were requesting prayer that God would heal completely her, if it is His will, that MS would be remissive, that they can be successful in finding a neurologist that can help.

Brian Comer (DCHS class of 2001) is currently going through chemo treatments. Here is his story and the link to his caring bridge site where you can make comments and see updates from Brian’s journal:

While I was initially diagnosed with diverticulitis, a CT scan started to show a different story. I was admitted to the hospital for observation and more tests. A restriction in my sigmoid colon started to show up on the x-rays and a mass was around it. While diverticulitis was still an option, tumors started to come into play. I had surgery in mid-March to remove the mass and a portion of my colon. While I was in recovery I was told it was a tumor, and the pathology report confirmed that I have Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  Everything was removed during surgery. I have 12 treatments of chemo starting mid-April. They are every other week for 6 months. I was in good health and was training for the 1/2 marathon. I'm only 29.”  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/briancomer.

Brian is son to Tom and Cathy Comer, brother to Matt 99’ and Christina (Velasquez) Comer 99’, and uncle to Henry and Amelia Comer. (5/29)

Prayers Needed for Briley Lambert '01

Please pray for Briley Lambert (DCHS - class of 2001).  She has inexplicably been losing weight over the past year and the doctors have yet to determine a cause.  She had a PICC line put in last week to help combat the weight loss but the high level of glucose in the IV food causes drastic swings in her blood sugar which results in her feeling pretty lousy.  She needs to see a specialist but the first available appointment at OSU is in May.  Please pray for an appointment to open up soon and for wisdom for doctors as they seek to find causes and solutions for her weight loss.
